A rare example of a British GP 1953 programme signed on the cover by Ferrari team drivers ALBERTO ASCARI, who won this race as well as the 1952 and 1953 F1 world championships, and LUIGI VILLORESI his close friend and local team mate who retired from this particular race .

Ascari was killed in a testing accident in 1955, his autograph is very rare on it's own and as Ferrari's first F1 world champion he holds a special place in motor sport history

Villoresi survived a long career, he died aged 88 in 1997 . To have the two together on one item is particularly attractive.

The two autographs are faded as you can see from the images.

Authentication is based on the look, type of ink, the degree of fading which in commensurate with it's age and a comparison with the signature on Ascari's competition licence which can be seen on line if you Google it. Villoresi's is also based on an comparison with an unquestionable reference  and in both case also on our own 38 year's experience in dealing with motor racing autographs
