History of the English motorcycle dearer, racer and maker who began as a chauffeur and progressed to racing on the Isle of Man in the early TT races, including the first sidecar TT with a Harley and in later TTs with his own Matador and Toreador bikes which competed at Brooklands, on the sands, in hillclimbs and so forth in the 1920s.
