Great book by the exotic Maserati sports racing cars of the late 1960s and early 1960s - the final throw of the dice by the famous sports & racing car maker in top line motor sport for many years.
The cars chassis' were constructed of unusually small guage tubing , and lots of it, which gave the impression of a birdcage when laid bare - hence the nickname. Many great drivers raced the cars, Stirling Moss, Dan Gurney, Bruce McLaren etc in events from the Targa and Le Mans to SCCA and pro sports car racing in the USA. Famous owners included Cunningham and Camoradi.
The book is by a recognised marque expert on this exotic creation and features a mass of data, results, photos and narrative text on the careers of all the cars built.
331 over-sized pages . Very heavy. 2004 1std edition. Fine condition in fine jacket with just a little edge curl on the top and bottom apparent (typical of the book due to type of laminated paper stock used) also a small scratch on the back, see photo.
