JPS Lotus team driver Brian Henton at the wheel of his Lotus 72 during the 1975 British GP event. Not a great photo but very rare to see a shot of this driver in a JPS Lotus!
Henton was the star of British F3 in the early 70s and progressed very quickly to test-driver role in the Lotus team. Sadly the famous Lotus 72 was no longer a front runner by this time and he struggled with it on the two occasion he actually got a race drive.
At Silverstone Henton finished 16th and also ran in the US GP but retired.
Henton went on to win the European F2 series in 1980, raced for Toleman, Arrows and Tyrrell in F1 in the 1980s.
