"A Racer's Memoir Of A Danegerous Decade 1965-75" . Brian Redman being one of the great all rounders of motor racing, a podium finisher in Grand Prix Racing (he drove for Cooper,de Tomaso, BRM,McLaren & Shadow) a multiple racer winner in Gulf GT40s and Gulf Porsche 917s. A Ferrari factory driver in F2 and sports cars , winning races with the 312PB , a triple F5000 champion (beating Andretti) and IMSA champion , he raced in Can Am, in F2, won the Targa Florio, Spa, The Nurburgring, Daytona, Sebring... had a small role in Steve McQueens LE MANS movie and suffered three near fatal accidents (hence the sub title) about which he talks frankly. He also lost a lot of team mates and fellow drivers to the sparse safety considerations of the era so between the mass of amusing anecdotes and behind-the-scenes stories is a grim tally of those who the sport claimed from Siffert and Rodriguez his GULF team mates to Jim Clark his hero. A superb book in every respect with some of the best photos you could imagine... but then Brian usually drove the best looking cars on the most pricturesque tracks ! 300 large pages, very good condition book in printed covers.
