This book is a history of one of Britain's' rarest car still in production at time of publishing and tells the story from its' inception in 1946 to 1989 (when published). The bespoke brand of Bristol cars is unique to any of its' time and seems to be built with no regard for the conventions of the more modern industry. Despite the niche of the cars produced over the years Bristol has combined speed, power, performance, handling and luxury. Although for forty years the company had little to no publicity on its' different approach to car style it stood the test of time and surely was "The Quiet Survivor". The 227 page hardback is written in an easy-to-read  non-technical style making it enjoyable to any reader and includes a variety of large black and white photographs. The book itself is in near fine condition all round both book and jacket and also includes extra newspaper clippings surrounding the Bristol company.
