Peter Gethin's BRM P180 and Chris Amon's MATRA MS120 at the Spanish GP, Jarama, in 1972.
Gethin had won the Italian GP the previous year for BRM but the new P180 was hopeless and more or less finished off his F1 career. Amon had a string of good races in the V12 Matra and led most of the 1972 French GP before a puncture dropped him back, but the V12 Matra nor it's driver ever won a world championship GP.
