The famous Count Zborowski's aero engined Chitty No.1, the car that inspired the book and the film in later years. Seen here with a later owner Robert Arbuthnot in Lancaster Gate Mews posed alongside Arthur Birks' neat little Walmsley Special.
The car was later parked on the trackside at Brooklands with a FOR SALE sign on it - yours for £25... but no one wanted it so it was, presumably sold for scrap.
