Rare an very appealing book of photos taken by the author while living in Paris in 1953 - and a short trip to London the same year. Straub captured an amazing variety of rare and exotic cars (Delahaye Delage, Bugatti etc etc ) in use or parked on the roads of the French Capital. The quality of the photos varies from snapshot to well framed study but the backdrops and the degree of 'every day use' obvious evokes an era beautifully. Small area of damp warping on the top edge of the latter pages, not having any great effect on the appearance of the book itself. 287 pages, softback. Cover had some shelf rubbing and wear at the extremities.
