5x7 inch (125x175mm) photo of the rare Connew F1 being hustled intot Druids bend at Brands Hatch in 1972 during the ROTHMANS Victory Race driven by David Purley.
The Connew was a remarkable back-yard F1 car built in a single car lock up garage in North London by a group of very keen amateurs. It actually qualified and started in the Austrian GP in 1972. Later it appeared with a Chevrolet engine in a couple of F5000 events before the money ran out.
