Unusual photo of future Vanwall  & BRM F1 driver Ken Wharton his Cooper Norton 500cc F3 car at Silverstone during the 1952 British GP event in which he appeared in the Formula Three race.

The shot was taken from the balcony above the pits, which was once accessable to the public and offered a very close view of what was going on .
