1980 slip cased hardback, very large format, 288 large format pages.

Hoistory of the highly influential racing car maker ERA , who's cars, built in the mid 1930s were instrumental in the later creation of a British racing car industry which is still there today as the home for most F1 teams remains England.

ERA cars raced in europe and Britain from 1934-date, firstly in front line 'voiturette' events , one step down from Grands Prix, later in historic events - you see them at Goodwood every year, meantime they were raced and hillclimbed widely winning titles and propelling the likes of Richard Seaman to the top of the motor sport tree.

Details and result of every car built, year by year narrative  and masses of wonderful evocative photos and drwings.

Signed by co-editor, car owner and daughter of the original owner , (Prince Chula of Thailand) Narisa Chakrabongse with a message thanking the book's owner for looking after her car (R2B "Romulous") for so many years-  which would be the well known vintage car racer Bill Morris who for many years was the only person aside from the famous Prince Bira, to race this car.
Book in slip case, two minor indents on the front (see image), text pages has a slight warp near the spine, Metal badge on the cover appears to have been glued back in place (they all seemed to fall off after a while) but not very tidily. There is a minor ding at th base of the spine, visible n early text pages (see photo) but not on the cover or spine itself. Other minor signs of being rad afew time and of general storage over the 44 years since it's publication. See photos for more detail.

The volume is of large format, being 13.5" X 11" X 1.5" & HEAVY
