Tom Cole's spectacular looking Ferrari 340mm Vignale in the paddock at the 1953 Daily Express Trophy
meeting on May 9th where it was a strong 2nd to the factory entered Ferrari 340MM Touring of F1 ace

American driver Cole was 4th in the Mille Miglia in this car and sadly died when he crashed it at Le Mans just a few weeks after this shot was taken. The car was badly damaged and left in a garage in Modena until 1969 when it was rebodied with a Fantuzzi body and still exists.
