Ferrari 500 F2 car of Farina lined up in the pits at Silverstone prior to the 1952 British GP with the driver himself (1950 F1 world champion) looking up at someone in the spectator gallery that used to be perched above the pit buildings. The team cars of Ascari and Villoresi are also in shot.
In 1952 and 1953 all world championship Grand Prix were held to F2 regulations and Ferrari team leader Alberto Ascari dominated both years, winning back to back world titles for Ferrari and in this case won the British GP at an avaerage speed of 90mph with Taruffi 2nd and Farina a surprisingly low 6th.
