In this shot John Melvin's Frazer Nash Le Mans Replica sits waiting for the 'Le Mans start' (the run-across-the-road-and-jump-in type). Melvin was a notable privateer entry around this time and the car, which was enterd by Frazer Nash as part of it's works team on this occasion, was co-driven by Peter Kenneth, a Scottish Frazer Nash driver from who's brother this photo originates.
The car 'JYS 3' is chassis 421/100/159 and finished the event 13th overall and 6th in the 2 litre class.~Brilliantly bright colour shot - very rare from this era of course.
