Frazer Nash 1953 Silverstone Buncombe

Wonderfully atmospheric colour photo from the 1953 Production car race at Silverstone, which supported the International Trophy.

In this shot John Buncombe sits in the cockpt of his Frazer Nash (Le Mans replica?) in the paddock with a wonderful assortemnt of period vehicles in the background. He retired in the event itself which was won by Mike Hawthorn's works entered Ferrari.

Brilliantly bright colour shot - very rare from this era of course.
