Sub-titled: "100 years of Motor Racing". The title I think understates this very clever book, as many coffee table volumes have covered what you might expect to find here. Not so, however, the author has taken all the aspects that make up the GP scene and produced a colour picture to the right hand pages to the left you have a true period picture of the same aspect of the sport in years gone by and these could be anywhere from 100 years ago to just 10 years ago but in each casae the contrast is amazing and often quite funny, whether it's showing photographers standing inches from an apex in the 60s but hidden behind distant armco barrier today or Nuvolari's cloth "crash helmet" contrasted with the technicolour carbon/kevlar creation worn by Alonso. Such is the rate of progress or whatever you like to call it. Most examples of this excellent 192 page book are in softbound format. This however is the hardback which is in fine condition and a fine jacket.
