1974 large format hardback
Describes the Donington collection of single seater racing cars - the biggest in the world even back in 1974! It also has a sizeable section on the history of the track which had yet to reopen (it finally did in 1977) and this has some great photos of the Mercedes and Auto Union GP cars at speed in 1937 and 1938, drivers such as Nuvolari and Rosemeyer , as well as less important events at the track (closed in 1939 due to the war) including motorcycle racing, MGs, ERAs, Bugattis and so forth.
