Nice action shot of Stirling Moss at speed in his F2 HWM at the 1951 Silverstone Daily Express Trophy race - he was 6th in his heat among all the pukka F1 cars but only 14th in the final when the heavens opened and a torrential hail storn turned the track into a lake.
The leading Alfas suffered because their superchargers swallowed a lot of water and after 6 laps the chequered flag was held out as cars spun in all directions!
Through the melle Reg Parnell kept his head and kept the car on track and was declared the winner.
