The author was also a gifted artist who combined his talents for the purpose of this book. The jouney starts with the shipping of his 'Garford' car from New York to Le Havre, the gaining of the correct paperwork and understanding of the local rules and regulations prior to the commencement of the Grand Circular Tour of France in the summer of 1913. A map of the route taken appears at the begining of this very readable and detailed account and would have been a fine recommendation for others to repeat the following year had the Great War not intervened. 301 pages plus many illustrations. The book is in good condition for it's age but has some water staining on some pages
