Jack Lewis, born in Gloucestershire 1936, raced in 9 World Championship F1 Grands Prix 1961-62 in privately entered Cooper and BRM cars.

Scored a 4th place in the 1961 Italian GP between Bruce McLaren and Tony Brooks.

Signed on the back of a letter from ALL SAINTS SECONDARY SCHOOL in Cheltenham, located fairly close to his Garage business H&L MOTORS in the nearby town of Stroud.

Letter is a roneo'd circular from the headmaster and content un-related but it's dated 9 Feb 1962 and one might speculate Jack was a guest at the school at some point and possibly a parent got his autograph on the only bit of paper they had with them?
