Amateur photo of Bruno Giacomelli actually at speed in the very little-used LIFE W12 F1 car from 1990.
The tiny team built their own 12 cylinder engine and spent the first half of 1990 barely getting the car to run a lap in prequalifying.
At Silverserstone it ran for 3 or four laps, probabaly the best it ever did. The W12 engine was ditched for a Judd V8 shortly afterwards with no noticeable improcemnent in the car's reliablity or speed!
