Amateur photo of several Lotus Elevens, a pair of Porsches (550?) and a rather out of place looking GT Alfa Romeo on the starting grid at Rouen les Essarts, the venue of several French GPs between 1952 and 1968.
This is actually the supporting 1500cc sports car race for the 1957 Grand Prix on July 7th - Ron Flockhart won from Jay Chamberlain in Lotus's with Christian Goethels Porsche 550 RS 3nd and that Alfa driven by Lang, 6th. Other Lotus Eleven's on the grid were driven by Mackay-Frazer and Bill Frost and Georges Harris drove the other Porsche and the final entrant was Andre Testut's Osca MT4.
This is a recent print of an amateur photo which isn't too sharp in places.
