JPS Lotus team driver Jim Crawford at speed in qualifying during the 1975 British GP event. Not a great photo but very rare to find any photo of this car/driver combination Crawford was a shooting stars in British F3/Atlantic and progressed very quickly to test-driver role in the Lotus team. Sadly the famous Lotus 72 was no longer a front runner by this time and he struggled on the two ocassions he actually got a race drive.
At Silverstone Crawford retired and in the Italian GP he was 13th Crawford raced in British F1 in the late 70s, European F2 in the early 80s, was the British F1 series champion in 1982 and then went to the USA and was 2nd in the 1984 Can Am series and a regular at the Indy
500 in the 80s and 90s.
