Lotus 76 Render Brighton Speed Trials 1976 Rare

David Render making a tyre-smoking start in his loaned, ex JPS F1 team Lotus 76 at the Brighton speed trials in 1977. Nearest the camera appears to be the 'Costin' Lister Jaguar that Gerry Marshall used to race.

Render was a wealthy close friend of Colin Chapman and this was the first of two works team cars he ran in hillclimbs and sprints in the mid 1970s - the other was an ex Andretti Lotus 77.
