Lotus 76 Render Brighton Speed Trials 1977 Rare

David Render making a tyre-smoking start in his loaned, ex JPS F1 team Lotus 76 at the Brighton speed trials in 1977.

Render was a wealthy close friend of Colin Chapman and this was the first of two works team cars he ran in hillclimbs and sprints in the mid 1970s - the other was an ex Andretti Lotus 77.
