Lotus Sunbeam Henri Toivonen Lombard RAC Rally 1980

Henri Toivonen in the factory entered Talbot Lotus Sunbeam.

This is the Speech House stage of the Lombard RAC Rally (Rally GB as it now is) in 1980. Toivonen won this event - a famous victory that sealed the world title for the popular Finnish driver. Sadly he lost his life a few years later at the wheel of a Group B Lancia Delta S4 on the Tour de Corse rally, one of the reasons Group B was quickly banned.
