In the Lonsdale Libraries series of Sporting Books. First edition were published in the 1930s and subsequently updated as technology and history demanded into the 1950s. This is a 1959 edition. Approx 280 pages. Sections of chassis and engine design, fuel, driving styles and historic aspects of rthe sport among many others, all weitten by notable names including Moss, Wharton, Cooper, Weslake and editor SCH Davis, the famous le Mans winning Bentley Boy. SIGNED by Davis on the title page. A slightly wobbly looking autograph but he did live to an advanced age and I think this would be likely be done shortly before his tragic death in a house fire on his 94th birthday in 1981. Truly a wealth of information. Good condition book , no jacket and corners dented and a small puncture on the back cover like the tip of a dart or compass.
