Autobiography of S C H " Sammy Davis" a Le Mans winning racing driver (for Bentley, no less) a great motoring journalist & skilled artist, writing his columns for the weekly Motoring Press. He sets out in this book to give the early history of the Sport, before moving on to his own exploits, including his fine win at Le Mans in the sole surviving, but badly damaged Bentley following the infamous 'White House' crash i 1927 and many events at Brooklands and elksewhere in a range or different cars from Grand Prix Bugatti to Austin 7! . Over 300 pages, plus fine photos & Sammy's own cartoon illustrations make this book a classic. Good condition , slightly aged looking and no jacket but very respectable for it's age. SIGNED on the frontispiece by Davis himself.
