Autobiography of the famous AUTOCAR journalist/racing driver & "Bentley Boy"  who found ever-lasting fame by winning the 1927 Le Mans 24 Hours with a works-team Bentley after pulling the battered car out of a multi-car pile up( "the White house crash" ) in the darkness and struggling on to victory despite a bent chassis and bits falling off the car.

Davis also raced widely in sports cars and racing cars at Brooklands, in the TT, in Grands Prix,  acted as riding mechanic to his friend Count Zborowski in the 1921 French GP (in a Miller) drove Bugatti, Alvis Singer, Sunbeam, Bentley, Riley, Aston Martin and Austin 7.
