A book is effectively divided into three parts. Part One is the story of the authors father who campaigned the Motoring movement in its infancy. He championed the cause to good effect through the House of Lords and through his own Motoring Publications. It was no easy task for many in power had vested interests in the continued use of Horse Traffic and the Railways alone. Hence the slow acceptance within this country. The second part of the book (82 pages) is about the idea and realisation of a Motor Museum to commemorate his fathers work and preserve the few fine vehicles that had survived two world wars. Fortunately a few such vehicles still graced the stable block and were spruced up and went on public display in the entrance to the House at Beaulieu for the 1952 season. By the time this book was published some 7 years later the Museum was purpose built and housed the largest collection of its type. Today as the N.M.M. it is on every car enthusiast's Must See List. The third part of the book lists the details of all the exhibits at the Museum for the 1959 Season. A superb look at how the interest in our Motoring Heritage is a pagesreciated. The book in in good condition but the jacket is well worn around the edges with some small areas of paper loss
