Those rugged events, the Gordon Bennett trials and the early Tourist Trophy that took place untill 1922 on the famous little island more well known now for two wheeled motor sport. Vauxhall, Bentley, Sunbeam and Rolls Royce all made their name in these events on rough muddy roads with the likes of Segrave and Guiness at the wheel. 173 large pages with beautiful period photos. The book & its jacket would be in very good condition but for damage to the lower inch of the spine, paper loss on the jacket at this point and some small marks to the book cloth exposed beneath
