Tony Vandervell , milliionaire industrialist, long time racer himself then team owner and initial supporter of the new BRM, disagreed with the way the team was going and created his own bespoke Grand Prix cars using the combined talents of people like Colin Chapman and John Cooper with engine work helped by Norton motorcycles.  The team went on to win numerous Grands Prix in the late 1950s with Stirling Moss and Tony Brooks at the wheel, take the first constructors world title in 1958 but promptly disband when one of their drivers, Stuart Lewis-Evans was killed in the final GP of the season. Two abortive attempts at a return followed by the magic had gone.  The Book which runs to 176 pages, very good book, aside from some age related discolouration on the fly leaf, and very good jacket.
